DIRECTOR
STATEMENT
My first
short film where I actually casted actors
through the net and Backstage. A few of the
guys did some extra work on the Sopranos.
I made a lot of mistakes on this film that I
will never do again. I learned how to
deal with actors that are paranoid. I also
learned that when you are the director don't
let others come onto your set trying to make
it theirs, thinking they know more than you.
Maybe they do sometimes, but be constructive
about it. All in all it was fun now
that I look back. This was my first film to
get accepted to a major festival in NY.
The fam and friends went nuts.
PRODUCTION NOTES
Shot on MiniDv summer 2001. No crew.
The original version was actually 20 min.
long and was accepted to the NY FILM
FESTIVAL in 2002. After a while I didn't
like the 20 min. version and it was on my
conscience to cut it down. So I reedited the
film in Aug. of 2003. The film was then an
Official Selection to the 2005 Toronto
Online Film Festival and can be seen on
Trigger. This was my 1st film that I
actually casted for and I held auditions in
my kitchen. It was funny, there was a line
out of my front door with actors waiting to
audition. This is a goofy film that was made
for fun. Now it has gotten some good
reception and is currently being rewritten
into a feature script.
