DIRECTOR STATEMENT

This was the first feature film I ever attempted.  It was based off of a short that I did the previous year, also called 'THE AGENT." I was inspired by Robert Rodriguez to make this film.  I literally no crew on this film.  I worked the camera, directed the actors, set up the lights, sound, etc.  I don't think I will do that again, you cut yourself too thin :o)

I look back at 'THE AGENT" now and can see all my mistakes I wish I could fix.  But it is just the process of living and learning.  It's amazing when you take a step back from your film after so many months and can finally watch it as a viewer and not an anal tech critic.

I also made this film right out of pocket.  Whatever I could find I dumped into the film.  Overall it was a great learning experience.  I can't wait to make more films.

PRODUCTION NOTES

I would have to say this shoot went very smoothly. Many filmmakers complain that their first feature was a disaster to make.  That is one thing I can't say about 'THE AGENT."  We all had a great time on set and everyone got along with their co-workers no matter how long into the night we shot. We did have some injuries on the last few days of shooting, thankfully 90% of the film was complete by then.

There was only one day of shooting where we went 15 hours.  I really don't like doing that, more than eight hours and the crew does start to get tired and HUNGRY.
